  • Terms | Blusquad812

Terms of the . . . game These are terms that most new competitive players will need to know. Also new terms will be added as meta's and strats change. What won't be added is Pro's names for locatons or all strats as some call out are well...."nut to butt" and that just can't be what new players learn. Storm Surge RHP Refresh Low-Ground Mid Ground(mid) High Ground Chill Focus Zone Deadside LOS Mid Side Rotate Cap Holding Pre-Edits Boxed 200'd in-game mechanism that kicks in when too many players are left alive in the following zones. If you/your team doesn't have enough damage dealt you will start taking damage known as "surge damage" Zone 3: 70 players alive Zone 5: 50 players alive Zone 7: 30 players alive Right Hand Peak can be obtained by standing on the left side of any object. Using a wall edit , selecting the three corner tiles helps create right hand peaks as you're box fighting. Loot, heals, or mats gained from either eliminating a player. Typically the longer the game the more refreshes you'll need. Some times your drop can be bad due to RNG or early game fights will cause you to need refreshes sooner. lower layers, or ground level of builds mid layers, usually 2-5 layers up top layers, or height, rest of the teams are lower Lets teammates know you're not ready to fight and they need to slow their fight down or come back to you Focus on where zone is going, stop looking for picks and focus on getting to zone and having placement points Portion of the current zone where the least amount of players are. Line of sight , typically breaking LOS will prevent an enemy from shooting/spotting you while you rotate. It's close to dead side, but closer to middle of the zone, depending on the lobby this may be an easier rotate Used to indicate how much ammo/mats you have. Cap means full or max. Usually said by a teammate who is holding a build while one teammate takes an enemy build piece. Good practice when doing this is to use a different material so your teammate knows when its your build. Usually said by a teammate who has a pre-edited wall or cone ready. Used in plays to catch teams off guard and have easy shots on players. Usually said by a teammate who has an opponent fully or partially boxed Usually said when someone would do 200+ damage with a legendary shotgun, but has now been used when you do max damage headshot that results in a knock or an elim.

  • Phase Builds | Blusquad812

Phase Builds Past to Present Phase building is an advance concept, but even above average pub players use it. So what is "Phase Building"? Phase building is placing a structure (wall, cone, floor, staircase) through another structure without an edit being made. The uses and videos listed below are just to show examples of when, how, and why to use them along with some of the common names of the moves. Past to Present Phase Build Evolution This YouTube video covers the history of the most commonly used Phase Build Technique. Along with how it has changed. Slide Phase Build raider464 demonstrates how you can combine sliding with phase building. This mechanic is new, we recommend watching the whole video to see what you can actually do with sliding. Phase Build Maps We'll have a more comprehensive list of all Phase Build maps in the future. You can check all of the creative maps we have suggested here Click for the best creative maps In order for phase builds to work properly you need to understand why they work. In general there are 2 things you have to do to use them properly. Find the correct angle and for your opponent to have NOT placed builds in that spot Cone Slides - Cone Phases The simplest cone slide is when your opponent is boxed up on the ground without a cone in their box. This angle can be done from the left or the right. Check for a cone or ramp when your opponent is boxed up above you. This doesn't need to be done on the ground, just as long as they're above you. Similar to the one on the ground, but notice where your cross hair needs to be. Also take note that you can't have builds in front of where you're looking as the cone will not phase properly. Below Image shows relative player location (middle of a wall) to start the phase build This method relies on you being next to the opponents wall (basically running at it) and tilting you camera to phase the build through. From SlyJack, BLUSQUAD812, raider464 there are a lot of variations to this. You can "Crouch" and turbo build the cone when you un-crouch, you can edit 1-2 tiles on the pre-placed cone and place the phased cone, or you can even run and slide while turbo building the phased cone. This cone phase dives into pre-edits. Selecting 3/4 tiles you without placing the build. If there is a cone on the persons box , you have to break it first. However in moving zones this can be used to build above you as well into an opponents tunnel. Below Image shows how your camera angle looks when placing pre-edited cone Below Image shows how your camera angle looks when placing the far and back wall Below Image shows how your camera angle looks when placing the final wall This is a Right Hand Phase Box. Utilizing a Blu Box setup (Cone with 1-2 tiles edited) you can place the far right wall, the back wall and the front wall. Using this angle you can also place a cone before you place this outter wall. The reason this is important is most players will attempt to take your wall from your right side, or their left. Below Image shows typical opponent placement when they try to take your wall. This has been common for many seasons, however using this Phase build technique you catch opponents off guard.
